Thank you for your interest in our organization. Our mission is to promote the achievements, education, employment, improve the status, depiction, and position of women working or aspiring to work in the film, communications, and entertainment industry.
Our networking is advantageous to all our members and includes producers, actors, directors, costumers, camera operators, marketing, distribution, aquisition and financing, cinematographers, and on and on.
We have forty-four international affiliates world wide to network with.

HISTORY
On March 12, 1973, Tichi Wilkerson Kassel,a former editor-in-chief of the Hollywood Reporter, and a group of women representing various facets of the film and television Industry met and formed WOMEN IN FILM/LA. INCORPORATED IN 1973, WIF is a 501(c)3 non profit organization with a current membership of over 4,000, representing almost 100 categories in film, television, and video, etc. Since then over 10,000 men and women in over forty affiliated chapters worldwide, including Arizona, have joined WOMEN IN FILM to help advance the fair employment, depiction, and position of women within the entertainment industry.
ORGANIZATION
WOMEN IN FILM/Az is a professional organization committed to recognize, develop, and actively promote the unique visions of women in the field of, film, communications and entertainment. The Board of Directors, WIF serves as a collective voice of support and an innovative network of educational and practical services for its members. Proffesional members must have a minimum of three years of relevant and professional experience in the entertainment industry. Associate members may qualify fo membership with one to three years of relevant professional or academic experience. Non voting Student and Corporate memberships are also offered, as well as a Friend category for individuals who support our vision but are not professionally qualified.

PSA Committee produces public service announcements for other non-profit organizaions.

Mentor Programs: Professional career counseling to others by interaction.

Annual Living Legacy Awards and National Conferences, Seminars, and Film Festivals.

Fund Raisers to support office and produce projects, schlorships and newsletter publication.

Empowerment of Young Women: Inspiring students by speaking in schools.

Workshops and Seminars for Directors, Producers, Writers, Performers and Crew and Behind the Lens: Issues/work opportunities for camera women.

Film and video finishing funds, grants and scholarships.

Mothers in Film : Issues/speakers on juggling family with career.

Film screenings: Presentating films written, produced, or directed by women.
